Easy Recipes Full of Flavor for this Christmas with Family and Friends

At Madeval, in October, we prepared cooking classes in Houston led by Chef Luisa Aray where she taught how to prepare delicious recipes to impress your family and friends. For this Christmas we want to share with you delicious and easy dishes that make you look like a pro in the kitchen.

Endives with tuna tartare and green apple

For this simple, yet delicious recipe you will need: 1 pound diced ahi tuna, 2 chopped green onions, 1 tablespoon tamarind sauce, 1 tablespoon sesame oil, 1 grated garlic, grated ginger, 2 tablespoons sesame seeds , dill, 2 teaspoons chives, the juice and zest of 1 lemon, 1 green apple cut into small pieces and endive or brussels radicchio. It’s so simple that you just have to mix all the ingredients in a pan and serve them over the endives and that’s it!

Goat cheese and beetroot hummus

For this refreshing and colorful recipe you will need to add in a blender, until it has the texture of hummus, the following ingredients: 15 ounces of cooked or canned beets, 1 cup of canned garbanzo beans, 1 tablespoon of goat cheese, 1 tablespoon of tahini, 2 garlic cloves, a little olive oil and 1 teaspoon of spices: cumin, coriander. Serve it with a little goat cheese and pistachios on top to give it a more elegant look.

Caprese skewers

If you prefer an Italian gastronomy entry, these skewers are for you! For this dish you must, interspersed, click on a skewer stick the following ingredients: 10 ounces of cherry tomato cut in half, 8 ounces of mozzarella cheese in small balls, 8 ounces of fresh basil leaves. The skewers must be bathed in a sauce for which you must blend the following ingredients: olive oil, coarse salt, pepper, balsamic, basil and oregano powder. What an easy and delicious recipe!

Feta and spinach rolls

This recipe, unlike the others, requires an oven, but that doesn’t make it complicated. For this dish with an explosion of flavors, follow the steps below. In a pan, cook the green onion with a little olive oil and the grated garlic clove. Add the spinach and cook until the liquids they release evaporate. Transfer to a pan and once cold add the cream cheese, garlic salt, paprika, lemon juice, dehydrated tomatoes, salt and pepper to taste.
On a surface with flour, so that it does not stick, roll out the puff pastry and spread the mixture of cream cheese and spinach. Roll up the puff pastry and cut discs approximately 5 centimeters thick. Bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit and… enjoy!
